Jesse Sacks is a Partner at Inflection Group, where he partners closely with founders and executive teams to build foundational teams. Jesse brings a unique perspective to executive search, shaped by his experience leading talent functions in-house and advising portfolio companies at a venture firm—allowing him to approach search with the mindset of an operator, not just an external recruiter.
Prior to Inflection Group, Jesse spent six years at StartupTAP, a retained recruiting firm in Los Angeles, where he joined as the second hire and rose from Intern to Director. During that time, he launched and led the firm’s consumer and eCommerce practice, completing more than 100 placements across high-growth brands and emerging technology companies.
One of Jesse’s clients, Ritual, later hired him in-house as Head of Talent following its Series B. As the company’s sole recruiter for three years, he hired ~55 roles across the organization and partnered closely with executive leadership to hire and scale every team.
Most recently, Jesse served as Principal and Head of Talent & People at Starshot Ventures, the consumer venture arm of Vital Proteins founder Kurt Seidensticker. There, he led people and talent strategy across the firm and its portfolio companies, overseeing organizational design, hiring strategy, and performance infrastructure—experience that deeply informs how he advises founders today.
